Steve Rosenberg: Steve founded Aspen Capital in 1987. His experience runs the gamut from residential to resort development, debt to equity, boom times to bust. Steve spent his formative years working for Landsing Property Corp., Smith-Ritchie Corp. and The Rawhide Co as a licensed real estate and mortgage broker. He heads up the Residential Lending group Gregory Funding. A graduate of Colorado College and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School in Real Estate, Steve has been underwriting, negotiating and structuring real estate loans and development financing since 1975. He is a dedicated philanthropist and has served on numerous boards including Chamber Music Northwest and the State Department of Environmental Quality Task Force. He also served as president of the Mittleman Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Portland.
Peter O’Kane: Peter has over twenty five years of experience in the banking, real estate, and construction fields and has worked in many aspects of it, including: loan and property acquisitions, property development, site construction, due diligence, asset management/loan servicing, capital markets/CMBS, as well as loan origination. Prior to joining Ajax Funding, Peter ran his own residential land development business in the Seattle area. Prior to its acquisition by Bank of America, he served as the National Sales Manager and SVP for Countrywide Commercial’s Advantage Loan Program. Before moving to Countrywide, Peter held positions in commercial origination and capital markets at Wamu. Peter has extensive experience in valuing, acquiring and resolving discounted and distressed loans – a result from working for J.E. Robert Companies and other companies during the resolution of the savings and loan crisis in the 1990s. During this decade, Peter led due diligence and acquisition efforts for over 400 loan and property portfolios. Peter made investments of over $4 Billion of performing, sub-performing, and troubled loans, properties, and real estate securities. Peter holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.
Rachel Mendelsohn: Rachel is an analyst at Aspen Capital who specializes in real estate investments and commercial lending. She is responsible for identifying trends in target real estate markets and analyzing current and past financial data and performance. Prior to joining Aspen Capital, she worked as a Marketing Associate with WME | IMG, where she researched, developed, and presented pitch-books and strategic planning materials for various business and sponsorship fulfillment initiatives. Rachel holds a B.S. in Sports Management and Business Management from Kent State University, where she also was a scholarship athlete for four years.
Brandon Willingham: Brandon is a commercial analyst at Aspen Capital who focuses on real estate investment acquisitions and commercial lending. He is responsible for identifying trends in target markets and underwriting both debt and equity investment opportunities. Prior to joining Aspen Capital, he spent ten years in the US Army where his most recent role was in space operations for the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command. Brandon is currently pursuing his Master of Real Estate Development at Portland State University and holds a B.S in Project Management from Colorado State University.
